About The Position

As a systems engineer for Integrated Support Facility guidance program, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the test and diagnosis of the current iteration of the TRIDENT II D5LE missile guidance system. This work will target coordination between multiple engineering disciplines to better suit the current mission.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Data analysis, troubleshooting various issues/failures of equipment and formulating solutions to said issues
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of management/clients/customers
  • Document troubleshooting plans on both new and fielded systems and/or provide evaluation and test support to ensure all technical features are functioning properly
  • Basic understanding of electrical diagrams as well as physics is beneficial in this role as well.
  • Ability to work within a strong fundamental team environment
  • Experience with MATLAB (preferred) as well as LabVIEW
  • Ability to read and comprehend both mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Motivated self-starter, and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend technical documents and interpret testing limits and requirements
  • Ability to leverage generative AI tools to accelerate systems engineering tasks such as requirements analysis, test documentation, design trade studies, and report summarization
  • Comfort working with enterprise AI platforms and multiple AI models, including understanding when and how to apply AI effectively while following established guardrails for handling CUI and proprietary data
  • Willingness to stay current with evolving AI capabilities and adopt new AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering productivity and quality
  • Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
  • Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
  • Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
