About The Position
Design, develop, and drive next-generation, cloud-ready applications for Research enterprise solutions used by Schwab consultants and clients. Participate in ground-up modernization projects to improve user experience and collaborate with technical architects on modern technical architectures. Lead or participate in projects, mentor junior staff, and develop proofs of concept for potential adoption into the enterprise technology stack. Analyze business problems and processes, refine requirements, and design solutions. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to research innovative FinTech concepts. Drive continuous integration and deployment strategies using tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo and a DevOps philosophy. Provide level-three production support when level-one and level-two teams cannot resolve issues. Identify and promote new and emerging technologies, including open-source tools. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 24 months of experience in a related occupation. Compensation depends on related experience; an annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the stated compensation ranges. A competitive benefits package is offered. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 24 months of experience in a related occupation.
- 24 months of experience designing and developing Java and Spring Boot microservices and event-driven platforms.
- 24 months of experience building scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs with enterprise integration patterns using RabbitMQ.
- 24 months of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MS SQL Server, Oracle DB, and MongoDB.
- 24 months of experience in financial services, focused on Asset, Wealth Management, and Investment Research domains.
- 24 months of experience supporting investment research capabilities using Python, Matlab, and Kotlin.
- 24 months of experience building responsive, user-focused applications with Angular and JavaScript.
- 24 months of experience developing and deploying cloud-ready investment-solution applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or similar cloud platforms, and deploying applications on Linux virtual machines.
- 24 months of experience with CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and GitHub, and static code analysis tools including SonarQube and Veracode.
- 24 months of experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence.
