About The Position
Within Schwab Technology Services, the thinkorswim Developer II contributes to the development and maintenance of Schwab’s thinkorswim® Desktop trading platform. The role is part of a collaborative, technically challenging environment focused on performance and resilience. The position applies backend development, problem-solving, and analytical skills to complex software design and technical analysis for a highly performant, multi-threaded system. The role serves as a subject matter expert for back-end core services, makes thoughtful technical decisions, supports secure development practices, and works with transactional market data while collaborating to deliver dependable technology for Schwab clients. The selected candidate is expected to work on site in the specified location(s). The role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities in addition to the salary range.
Requirements
- Demonstrated backend development skills, including the ability to develop and maintain complex, performance-sensitive software systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical-thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate complex technical issues and make sound decisions.
- Experience applying secure development practices to back-end core services and protecting software reliability and integrity.
- Ability to work effectively with transactional data in highly performant, multi-threaded, and resilient systems.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute effectively in an innovative, technically challenging development environment.
