About The Position

This role is responsible for planning trailers/containers according to daily requirements and maximum capacity, creating and closing out load lists in SAP for all customers, and creating manual shipping documents. The Specialist SC Shipping will also get quotes from carriers, maintain customer- and trucking portals, monitor due dates, and communicate with production planners, carriers, material handlers, supervisors, and the warehouse manager. Additional duties include scanning and filing shipping documents and other office duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Computer knowledge
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good attendance record
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Good communication skills
• Willing to work variable office hours, also weekends if necessary

Nice To Haves

• forklift license
• SAP and customs knowledge preferable
• Spanish helpful
