About The Position

We are seeking a FOD (Foreign Object Debris) Coordinator to join our team at L3Harris in Camden, AR. The FOD Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the site’s FOD prevention program to ensure a safe and compliant manufacturing environment. This role partners with Production, Quality, Engineering, and EHS teams to drive FOD awareness, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. The FOD Coordinator will monitor compliance, conduct audits, and facilitate corrective actions to minimize FOD risks throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Operations Management, Quality, Safety) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or quality assurance environment, with direct FOD program experience preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Previous Aerospace and Defense work experience
  • Strong knowledge of FOD prevention standards (e.g., NAS412) and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with data analytics and reporting tools preferred.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site’s primary point of contact for all FOD-related matters; coordinate responses to FOD incidents and spearhead FOD prevention initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain FOD control procedures and best practices in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular FOD audits and inspections of production areas, workstations, and storage locations; document findings and track corrective actions.
  • Lead FOD awareness and training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors; ensure training records are maintained and up to date.
  • Investigate FOD incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and EHS to integrate FOD prevention into daily operations and new product introductions.
  • Prepare and present FOD metrics, reports, and recommendations to site leadership; support customer and regulatory audits as required.
  • Manage FOD-related supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper use.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance FOD prevention and control.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
