About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join our Lifeline Administration team in the role of Specialist- Practice Operations. The Practice Operations Specialist will play a key role in invoicing, expense tracking, and financial operations, including monitoring budgets and practice targets, reviewing operational expenses, and supporting monthly audits. The Specialist will work closely with the Accounts Payable team and vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, while also evaluating and supporting the implementation of operational policies, procedures, and projects. The role supports operational excellence by pulling and analyzing financial and operational data, maintaining accurate reports, and assisting leaders with dashboards and KPI summaries related to expenses and operational performance. It also supports and contributes to practice-level and system-level projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and provides operational awareness through collaboration with leaders and team members, supporting follow-through on action items related to engagement and process improvement initiatives. The Specialist partners with leadership to identify reporting insights and opportunities to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and vendor management outcomes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial data, and able to learn new systems and processes quickly in a fast-paced operational environment. This role can be based out of either the west Indianapolis or Bloomington location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2-4 years professional office experience (preferably healthcare related)
  • Familiarity with health care organizations required
  • Accounting, Business, Management, Science or Health Administration concentration preferred
  • Experience using data to drive performance improvement, including data mining, data analytics, and maintaining or running operational dashboards strongly preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Masters of Health Administration or Masters of Business Administration may be accepted in lieu of experience
