About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring for a Specialist Oncology Clinical Ops for our Cancer Center. This full-time position involves serving as a physician liaison, facilitating communication with referring healthcare professionals, and easing access to system services. The role includes reporting key statistics, promoting Medical Staff resources, and managing the physician practice operations of SEH Cancer Care. The Specialist will conduct regular visits with physicians, acting as a resource for issue resolution and information sharing, and will be responsible for managing physician schedules, developing professional relationships, designing efficient services, monitoring expenses, and ensuring physicians have the necessary tools for daily operations. Additionally, the role involves coordinating provider-led symposiums, managing expense reports, planning collaboration events, creating and maintaining physician schedules in QGenda, closing/opening EPIC templates, and supporting provider onboarding and credentialing activities. The position also requires demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Five (5) years of experience in physician relations, network development, medical office, or a similar role in hospital marketing, medical affairs, or business development.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a physician liaison.
  • Facilitate effective communication with referring health care professionals.
  • Ease access to system services.
  • Report key statistics such as WRVUs, patient satisfaction scores, Epic proficiency, physician schedules, and productivity.
  • Share information and promote utilization of Medical Staff resources and compliance.
  • Manage the physician practice operations of SEH Cancer Care.
  • Conduct regular visits with physicians, serving as a resource for timely issue resolution and information sharing.
  • Manage physician schedules.
  • Develop, promote, and maintain professional relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Design/implement efficient services, offer revenue enhancements, monitor expenses, benchmark, encourage service excellence and provide effective communications.
  • Delegate and check daily assignments.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks and projects within the department.
  • Ensure physicians have tools required to carry out day to day operation.
  • Assure physicians are scheduled for and receive all education and training related to Epic upgrades/changes.
  • Enter providers’ Expense Reports in Workday.
  • Coordinate provider led symposiums.
  • Enter Cancer Center Directors’ Expense Reports in Workday.
  • Plan and execute provider collaboration events.
  • Create yearly inpatient rounding schedule for both MDs and APRNs.
  • Enter rounding and call schedule into QGenda and maintain any changes.
  • Close/Open EPIC templates according to rounding/call schedule.
  • Complete APRN timecards weekly ensuring accurate PTO entry.
  • Coordinate interview of APP and provider candidates.
  • Assist Medical Affairs with onboarding activities of new Medical Staff members including hospital tours and attendance at new provider meetings / events for all SEP employed and contracted providers.
  • Support credentialing activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
