The American Lung Association has an excellent opportunity for a Specialist, Nationwide Lung Cancer Screening. Working as a member of the Advocacy and Public Policy department, you will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education, and advocacy. The Nationwide Lung Cancer Screening Specialist supports the implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of nationwide lung cancer screening education programs at the American Lung Association. This position is primarily responsible for measuring program performance, evaluating program outcomes, and supporting data-driven decision-making to strengthen lung cancer screening efforts and maximizing program impact for a Lung Cancer Screening Initiative program that spans Washington, DC, North Carolina, and Los Angeles, CA areas. In addition, the Specialist will be responsible for recruiting new partnerships and maintaining collaborative partnerships with health systems, community-based organizations, and other partners to support accurate community engagement, reporting and evaluation activities, and the successful achievement of program objectives. Working under the guidance of the Manager, Nationwide Lung Cancer Screening and relevant colleagues, the Specialist collaborates with internal teams and external partners to monitor program effectiveness, assess outcomes, and identify opportunities to improve program performance, efficiency, and reach through continuous quality improvement efforts.
