About The Position

This role is for a Specialist, Marketing Management with a focus on Creative Strategy. The position involves transforming marketing strategies into compelling creative direction and collaborating with various teams to bring creative tactics and campaigns to life. The role aims to drive brand love and business results. It is a hybrid position based in Columbus, OH, with flexibility for remote work. The Specialist will assist and implement the overall development and execution of marketing strategies, coordinate marketing tactics, and work with internal teams and external vendors to achieve business results. The role requires influencing marketing investment, driving business growth, and utilizing marketing technology. The Specialist will also synthesize data, support business-building solutions, manage moderate to complex projects, and assist with the implementation of digital and traditional marketing tactics.

Requirements

  • 1–4+ years in marketing, brand strategy, or client management—ideally within financial services or an agency setting.
  • Familiarity with B2B, B2C, and B2B2C marketing campaigns.
  • Strong communicator: Able to draft clear messaging and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Comfortable contributing to strategic discussions and problem-solving.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Developing writing and strategic planning skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred.
  • Typically five or more years demonstrated professional experience in marketing, strategy, consulting, financial services, or related field.
  • Proven marketing development and project management experience.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and drive forward key deliverables.
  • Ability to influence at all levels and work effectively across functions and geographies.
  • Ability to use analytics to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Excellent communicator, highly organized, and able to build effective partnerships across functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to video, design, and digital/print production is a plus.
  • Technical insurance designations such as CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus.
  • Additional licensing may be required to hold this position; and associates will need to acquire the required federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the designated time period.
  • Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented.
  • If an associate fails to acquire required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior creative strategists and manager to translate marketing plans into creative strategies.
  • Serve as the go-to for low- to mid-complexity creative requests, assessing project readiness and ensuring alignment.
  • Own the creative journey for low-complexity projects—from briefing through execution and optimization.
  • Support senior strategists on more complex initiatives.
  • Maintain brand messaging consistency across programs by leveraging master briefs and existing creative assets.
  • Oversee a portfolio of work, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, insight-driven strategies that enhance ROI.
  • Embrace shifting priorities and contribute to high-quality work that meets defined business and marketing goals.
  • Assist in the development and execution of strategies and plans that ensure long-term sustainable growth of the business.
  • Synthesize data and use this understanding to support identification and innovation of business-building solutions.
  • Assist with the completion of moderate to complex projects and processes within area of responsibility to deliver results with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.
  • Assist with implementation of digital and traditional marketing tactics and media, including creative development process, planning and execution.
  • Collaborate on and assist with creative development and provide feedback on look and feel.
  • Use customer insights and analytics and tools to understand and assist in forecasting market, competitor and customer needs and behavior.
  • Help define appropriate target audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and effectively get results with data-based decisions.
  • Monitor timelines to ensure programs are on strategy and on schedule.
  • Inform leader of any discrepancies.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
