About The Position

This position manages an inventory of managed repair program claim assignments. The Specialist communicates with contractors about assignment status, reviews estimates, and supports client adjusters and insurers on insurance restoration, water mitigation, and structural work assignments. The role also works with a Claim Manager on activity, questions, training, and other position needs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, or Risk Management and Insurance, or a master's degree in Statistics.
Claims management, insurance, property and casualty insurance, quality assurance (QA), regulatory affair management, and reinsurance skills.
Advanced English proficiency (C1).

Nice To Haves

Associate in Claims (AIC) certification from The Institutes.
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification from ACFE.
Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) certification, as listed in the posting with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification from the Insurance Institute of America.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of active claims and the contractors working on those assignments.
Monitor assignment aging, statuses, and work product.
Follow up daily regarding open items and communications.
Perform quality estimate reviews of contractor estimates according to client estimating guidelines.
Communicate with contractors regarding clarifications and required changes.
Interact with client adjusters and insureds to provide process and technical support.
Record journal or diary notes relating to claim results.
Use tracking systems to manage activity.
Assist with periodic special projects.
Interact with the Claim Manager regarding activity, questions, training, and position needs.
Provide input to the company regarding contractor performance.
