The City Brand Management Team is responsible for leading and driving marketing plans for Nike in key global cities, aiming to inspire, innovate, and enable the power of sport for every athlete. This specific role focuses on the New York City market, supporting the amplification, strategy, and execution of Global Sport and Train priority concepts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and passion for NYC's sports scene, with expertise in Football, Baseball, Tennis, Golf, and Training. They should be forward-thinking, curious, capable of balancing guidance with autonomy, attuned to consumer trends, and knowledgeable about the NYC Sport and Training landscape. Collaboration with North America and Global functions, as well as city partners, is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Demonstrated genuine passion and understanding of the NYC consumer, trainers, community leaders, trends, modalities, product, and sources of influence in NYC.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills that will serve both internal and external partners.
  • 3+ years’ experience in consumer marketing or related experience in retail marketing and/or digital brand marketing.
  • Strong written, visual, and verbal/presentation skills.
  • Experience working within teams and a team-first mentality, but still has the ability to work autonomously when required.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Digital marketing acumen and creator-led content experience.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and adaptability.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
  • Detail-oriented nature across workstreams large and small.

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive the execution of seasonal, integrated marketing plans across channels.
  • Build and maintain strong collaboration across key cross-functional partners.
  • Oversee product sourcing, management, and seamless integration into programming.
  • Manage end-to-end project execution from insight to activation with operational rigor.
  • Lead the development and synthesis of consumer and market insights to inform strategy.
  • Cultivate and manage on-the-ground relationships with key consumer, community, and grassroots organizations.
  • Partner with key cross-functional team members to define, adapt, extend, and execute physical and digital consumer experiences.
  • Leverage Nike owned and third-party partner tools for project management.
  • Partner with finance and Brand Planning and Operations to track expenses and ensure alignment with allocations.
