Hannaford Supermarkets started out as a fresh produce vendor in Portland, Maine way back in 1883, and is still connected to those early roots as a local market. Hannaford actively seeks out farmers and producers to join our Local program which celebrates not only local foods, but the preservation of farmland, local traditions and local jobs. The connection we have to the source of our fresh foods is core to the way we do business, becoming the first major supermarket in the United States to document that all its seafood products were sustainably harvested. Hannaford offers a flexible work environment, with a hybrid work expectation for field-based positions of being physically present in-store and/or a General Office in your territory at least 3 days a week. Prospective candidates must reside in one of Hannaford’s five (5) operating states (ME, NH, MA, VT, NY). Position Summary: The operational expert for Fresh and Center Store Department Managers to improve execution levels and sustain conditions. Drive solutions to district financial and operational priorities by educating and coaching Fresh and Center Store Department Managers and Retail Management Trainees on standard practices, business systems, product knowledge and merchandising programs. Close the feedback loop to retail to aid with continuous improvement of Fresh and Center Store department operations. Support the development of Fresh and Center Store trainers within respective regions to assist with training needs and the implementation of new programs.
