About The Position

This role is responsible for processing and re-assigning titles for vehicles sold by auction. The Specialist I will examine vehicle titles for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements, verify acceptance of the title in the state for which it is filed, and confirm accuracy, reporting any discrepancies. This position will resolve title issues through interactions with customers or accounts, run 30-day outstanding title reports for consignment vehicles sold without titles and contact sellers to obtain title. Additional duties include processing sale day transactions using the AS400, providing customer service, verifying purchases in-lane using the DVR, accessing and/or adding client information from Auction Access, assisting in sale day settlement balancing, and ensuring front counter coverage. The role requires visibly demonstrating commitment to Client Satisfaction by modeling the behaviors of Cox culture. Other duties may be assigned by Management, and travel or overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of related experience required in the auction industry or at the DMV.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
  • Previous vehicle title experience and title handling are required.
  • Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant notations related to titles is a requirement.
  • Bending and light lifting 10 lbs. or less required.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Ability to type and use 10-key proficiently required.

  • Must have strong organizational skills and be very detail-oriented.
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Extensive detail handwritten and computer work.
  • Willingness to become a Notary is desired.
  • Any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience; OR 5 years’ experience in a related field.

Responsibilities
