About The Position

This role is responsible for various warehouse operations including picking, preparing, and palletizing finished goods for shipment. The position requires operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring accuracy in all tasks, and adhering to safety and company procedures. The Specialist will also be involved in processing returns, auditing documentation, and maintaining a clean work environment. The role demands attention to detail, the ability to work independently and in teams, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Current forklift certification is required
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum +1 years warehousing experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Stand-up forklift preferred
  • Motorized (electric) pallet jack certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
  • Oracle experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pick, prepare, and palletize finished goods for shipment, working overtime as needed to meet shipping goals.
  • Operate forklift or other equipment for material movement within the distribution center, completing daily vehicle inspection reports and ensuring proper charging and light maintenance of equipment.
  • Follow and understand all company and job-specific procedures.
  • Meet all facility standards applied within select departments.
  • Pick and stack product according to procedure and special instructions, cross-checking for 100% accuracy.
  • Pick, check, over pack, consolidate, and process parcel cases as necessary.
  • Load and unload trailers according to procedure, following all safety instructions.
  • Verify accuracy of received shipments, determine product locations, and put product into available locations.
  • Process returns, ensuring each returned case is inspected, stocked, and appropriate paperwork for customer credit is completed.
  • Use appropriate carrier systems and tools to ship product.
  • Ensure warehouse documentation is sorted and ready for filing at the end of the day.
  • Audit international shipping documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work independently and proactively, communicating key issues regarding returns processing to management and department personnel.
  • Adhere to all good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines, and Drug Enforcement Laws.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Work in teams as designated for initiatives like Safety, 5S, Lean, etc.
  • Perform basic math calculations.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
