About The Position

As a Specialist, HSEQ Assurance, you will play a critical role in strengthening WSP’s commitment to excellence in Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Security. You will help ensure projects, operations, and people meet the highest internal standards and external regulatory requirements—driving consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organisation. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HSEQ auditing, assessment, or assurance roles.
  • Demonstrated experience auditing to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and COR standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and coach stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight timelines.
  • Solid analytical and organisational skills, with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required

Nice To Haves

  • Professional HSEQ or OHS designations (e.g., CRSP, CRBOH)
  • Auditor certifications (IRCA / Exemplar Global)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal HSEQ audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with corporate management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply recognised standards (e.g., COR, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare clear, actionable audit and assessment reports, including corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Plan and execute annual HSEQ audit and assurance programmes across operations and projects.
  • Monitor assurance metrics and analyse trends to support data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with regional, national, and sector teams to strengthen HSEQ performance and consistency.
  • Support external audits and liaise with certifying bodies to ensure successful outcomes.
