About The Position

The Specialist, Global Sales Support plays a critical role in assisting and supporting the Manager, Global Sales and the Outside Sales Teams, Enabling Sales, Inventory Control and managing attrition. CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures is the world’s first and largest heli-skiing and heli-accessed hiking operator. From our head office in Banff, Alberta, CMH operates 11 destinations located in the Bugaboo, Purcell, Selkirk, Monashee, and Cariboo ranges of British Columbia, Canada. Heli-Skiing takes place each year from December through April, and CMH Summer Adventures take place from July to mid-September. CMH is privileged to operate in the traditional territories of the Ktunaxa, Secwépemc, Syilx, and Stoney Nakoda Nations.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • All CMH employees will demonstrate integrity, discretion, and critical thinking, along with adaptability and effective problem-solving skills.
  • A positive, collaborative working style is essential, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities are crucial.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms are important, as is the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities.
  • The role requires a trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed individual who can navigate complex responsibilities.
  • Additionally, the candidate must have the confidence to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub-and-spoke model.

Nice To Haves

  • Past experience with CRM programs is considered an asset.
  • Experience in an administrative or guest services role, preferred.
  • Experience in the ski industry, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Global Agents and NA Reps to help convert opportunities into sold trips.
  • Proactively monitoring and when needed releasing “spaces held without deposit”.
  • Manage Agent and Rep guest cancellations, moves and space replacements.
  • CRM support and Training for NA Rep Team.
  • Provide assistance to finance on Agent and Rep commissions and statements
  • Support the Manager, Global Sales with various administrative tasks.
  • Provide support to the Sales management team to drive improvement projects forward.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Outside sales teams.
  • Communicate, work with and support Guest Services as needed.
  • Collect deposits from NA Guests.
  • Apply and manage credits.
  • Graduated waitlist offers.
  • Help support implementation of CMH health and safety and sustainability initiatives.
  • Train, participate in and provide support, as required, during emergency response situations.
