The Field Engineering Specialist will be responsible for performing aircraft servicing, inspections, troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems in accordance with applicable technical data. This role involves towing and positioning aircraft, flying with the aircraft to provide off-station maintenance support, and removing/installing various aircraft components including avionics, hydraulic components, landing gear, tires, struts, and engines. The specialist will also be responsible for checking work correctness, analyzing equipment failures to determine causes and recommend corrective actions, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and documenting performance and maintenance records. The position requires the ability to lift, bend, and climb, and involves daily interaction with customers at multiple levels. A wide variety of technical data, from OEM manuals to engineering drawings, must be used, understood, and interpreted. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The role may require extended hours and weekends, and travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
