This role will help drive the next evolution of digital facilities and maintenance excellence across Moderna’s global manufacturing operations. Supporting the Maximo enterprise asset management platform, this role will combine operational expertise, data integrity, AI-enabled technologies, and continuous improvement capabilities to modernize maintenance processes and enhance operational performance. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of facilities management, enterprise systems administration, automation, analytics, and Generative AI-enabled operational transformation. The role involves collaborating across global teams to improve workflow efficiency, strengthen system usability, and support scalable digital solutions that advance Moderna’s manufacturing and facilities operations. As an onsite individual contributor supporting the Norwood campus with global reach, this role will play a critical part in enabling efficient maintenance execution, improving master data governance, and advancing AI-powered process optimization initiatives that contribute directly to operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in engineering, facilities management, information systems, business administration, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2–3 years of experience in business administration, engineering, facilities management, or a related environment.
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience utilizing AI tools to support operational improvements, process optimization, or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting enterprise asset management systems such as Maximo.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage data integrity, governance, and system administration responsibilities with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and global teams.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, AI-enabled transformation, automation, and digital innovation.

Nice To Haves

  • AI, analytics, automation, or Maximo-related certifications are advantageous but not required.
  • Experience operating within GMP-regulated environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work activities in compliance with applicable SOPs, GMP requirements, and company policies.
  • Administer and support the Maximo enterprise asset management system, ensuring efficient and timely processing of work orders and maintenance records.
  • Maintain, govern, and continuously improve the integrity and accuracy of master data within the Maximo database.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives focused on modernizing maintenance and facilities management processes across global manufacturing sites.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows, optimize operational processes, and improve system performance using AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies.
  • Utilize AI-powered solutions, analytics platforms, automation tools, and data-driven insights to improve workflows, generate operational intelligence, and enhance process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement scalable AI-driven operational improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reduce manual effort and enhance usability through process simplification, automation, and system optimization activities.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and technical guidance for Maximo-related issues across the organization.
  • Facilitate daily office hours and support end users through training, guidance, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and deliver technical training materials, user documentation, and knowledge-sharing resources to strengthen adoption and operational consistency.
  • Support special projects related to enterprise asset management, facilities optimization, automation technologies, data analytics, and AI-enabled maintenance strategies.
  • Contribute to the advancement of digitally enabled maintenance excellence by leveraging Generative AI and emerging technologies to support scalable transformation initiatives.
