Norton Rose Fulbright is hiring a Docketing Specialist to support our Intellectual Property practice. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the firm's docketing system, managing critical deadlines, and supporting attorneys through a broad range of administrative and docketing functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • Experience with US and foreign trademark docketing required
  • Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service-oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred. In lieu of a degree, minimum 9 years of professional experience required
  • Knowledge of docketing software applications a plus
  • College degree or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Creating records within the database, docketing or calendaring of due dates, and de-docketing or removing due dates when appropriate
  • Cultivating relationships and following up with attorneys and/or paralegals regarding actions due, and other related tasks
  • Docketing and reviewing all US and foreign prosecution mail, as well as opposition, interference and/or appellate matters
  • Monitoring and updating attorney dockets daily, with strong attention to approaching deadlines
  • Intake and auditing of transfer files
  • Maintain knowledge of latest IP rules, both domestic and foreign
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues or questions pertaining to docketing
  • Other duties
