About The Position
The Dairy Specialist is part of a team focused on serving guests and delivering a strong Dairy department and Center Store Market experience. The role is responsible for the dairy department and dairy-related displays, keeping product areas stocked and maintaining inventory control, product rotation, and quality. The Specialist orders, receives, stores, and stocks products; creates and fills displays; ensures products are properly fronted and priced; and handles damages and credits according to company policy. The role also requires familiarity with store products, cross-merchandising, and product locations to assist guests. It includes a variety of retail tasks related to products, guest service, and merchandising. The position is based at 212 W. Atherton Dr, Manteca, California. Hiring pay range: $16.90–$27.20 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or additional job experience.
- Two years of center store experience.
- Knowledge of products and pricing, store layout, safe work and lifting practices, equipment operation, and merchandising.
- Ability to learn and retain policies and procedures and work within and promote a team environment.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
- Familiarity with store products.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand and perform other physical movements frequently, and lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.

- One year of dairy or deli experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and thank guests promptly and courteously, answer questions, and respond to requests to provide a remarkable shopping experience.
- Understand seasonal trends in dairy sales to meet guest expectations and maximize sales growth.
- Monitor case and display temperatures and maintain food-safety temperature guidelines to support product quality and shelf life.
- Stock dairy shelves and displays to support product availability, appeal, guest satisfaction, profitability, schematic guidelines, shrink standards, temperature quality, and price accuracy.
- Ensure merchandise is accurately priced, including regular and sale prices at the shelf edge and in computer, registry, or inventory systems.
- Monitor sales, inventory, product rotation, and back stock, and order products to maximize sales and profits.
- Receive, check in, inspect, and break down incoming goods for stocking and product availability.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for coworkers and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
