About The Position
The Frozen Specialist is part of a team focused on serving guests and delivering a positive Frozen department and Center Store Market experience. The role is responsible for the frozen department and frozen-related displays, ensuring products are stocked, properly rotated, and maintained to quality standards. The Specialist orders, receives, checks in, stages, and stocks products; manages inventory; creates and fills displays; and handles product damages and credits according to company policy. The role also requires familiarity with store products, merchandising, and product locations to assist guests. The position includes a variety of retail tasks involving products, guest service, and merchandising.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or additional job experience.
- Two years of center store experience.
- Knowledge of products and pricing, store layout, safe work and lifting practices, equipment operation, and merchandising.
- Ability to learn and retain policies and procedures and to work within and promote a team environment.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
- Familiarity with store products.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand and perform other physical movements frequently and lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
Nice To Haves
- One year of frozen experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and thank guests promptly, courteously, and in a friendly manner; answer questions and respond to requests.
- Understand seasonal trends in frozen sales to meet guest expectations and maximize sales growth.
- Monitor case and display temperatures and follow food-safety temperature guidelines.
- Stock frozen shelves and displays to support availability, appeal, guest satisfaction, profitability, schematic guidelines, shrink standards, temperature quality, and price accuracy.
- Ensure regular and sale prices are accurate at the shelf edge and in computer, registry, or inventory systems.
- Monitor sales and inventory, maintain back-stock areas, and order products to maximize sales and profits.
- Receive, check in, inspect, and break down incoming goods for stocking and product availability.
- Create and fill product displays, ensure products are properly fronted, and handle product damages and credits according to company policy and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for coworkers and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
