About The Position

Questrade Financial Group (QFG) is seeking a Specialist, Communications & Employee Experience for its Questbank division. This role is crucial for managing the operational transformation of Questbank, aiming to turn 'change fatigue' into 'change excitement' through effective communication and engagement. The Specialist will be the creative lead for the Operations team, ensuring all employees are informed, engaged, and inspired during a period of significant system and standard changes. This is a 'builder' role focused on owning the end-to-end employee journey, utilizing AI for internal storytelling, managing engagement events, and designing a modern workplace experience. The goal is to bridge technical changes with human connection, drive operational excellence, and foster employee pride.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Communications, Education, Business, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Internal Communication, Human Resources, Employee Experience, or Change Management.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Sheets).
  • High comfort level with, or a strong desire to master, Generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, NotebookLM) for workflow optimization.
  • Experience in event planning, including managing budgets for vendors, catering, and engagement materials.
  • Solid understanding of Banking Operations (e.g., Mortgages, Credit Cards, GICs) and the ability to translate technical process changes into relatable, human-centric communications for front-line staff.
  • An eye for design and branding, capable of creating internal communications that are visually appealing and engaging.
  • Strong public speaking skills, able to effectively engage diverse audiences from entry-level staff to the Executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Craft professional executive decks, bank-wide emails, and user guides to promote new initiatives and gain senior leadership buy-in.
  • Design and execute high-visibility 'culture-first' events, including managing concepts, budgets, logistics, and vendor relations.
  • Oversee the physical and cultural evolution of the Operations team workspace, identifying improvements for office design, amenities, and environment to boost performance and morale.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to curate and distribute Questbank-branded 'swag' and collateral to build identity and pride within the Operations team.
  • Establish mechanisms like sentiment surveys or focus groups to gauge employee sentiment, identify areas of change fatigue, and recommend communication strategies to address them.
