About The Position

The Special Programs Coordinator is responsible for organizing, developing, planning, managing, and evaluating KVH’s Cardiac, Stroke, and Sepsis programs. The role focuses on maintaining regulatory requirements, collecting and analyzing data, reporting trends, identifying process-improvement opportunities, and helping develop training to improve the patient care experience.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse currently licensed in Washington State, or holding a multistate license recognized by Washington State.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider certificate, with maintenance required.
• Current ACLS certification, with maintenance required.
• Current PALS certification, with maintenance required.
• Current TNCC Provider certification, with maintenance required.
• Completion of NIH Stroke Scale training.
• Three years of acute-care nursing experience with some previous leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing, business, leadership, or a related field.
• Completion of a college-level statistics course.
• Experience with quality-improvement processes, such as the IHI Model for Improvement.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, plan, manage, and evaluate the Cardiac, Stroke, and Sepsis programs at KVH.
• Maintain regulatory requirements for the programs.
• Collect and analyze data and report trends.
• Identify areas for process improvement.
• Assist with developing training to improve the patient care experience.
