Under general supervision of sworn law enforcement administrator, serves as a sworn law enforcement officer of Special Programs and Services with responsibility for facilitating all enforcement actions with probationers, making probable cause arrests, and performing related duties as assigned. The person in this position will supervise probationers and pre-trial releasees, promoting accountability and rehabilitation while supporting community safety. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, investigations, managing pre-trial and probation cases, administering DART (Drug and Alcohol Random Testing), and maintaining detailed case files. This is a part-time, non-PERS eligible position. This position does not qualify for employer-paid benefits, paid time off, wage increases, or union representation. This position requires enrollment in the City's Alternate Retirement Systems (ARS). Work schedule will consist of an average of 19 hours/week. Hours per week may increase or decrease based on Department need. May be required to work a flexible work schedule, outside of normal business hours, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours. External candidates, probationary full-time, part-time, and temporary City of Henderson employees will start at the first step of the salary range.
