About The Position

TeamHealth is hiring a travel emergency medicine physician for its Special Operations Team in the Northeast or Midwest. Physicians are credentialed at multiple emergency department client sites within a specified region and assigned to one ED at a time to provide patient care. Planned assignments provide continuous work. The role may be based in Detroit and involves working blocked shifts at selected emergency departments, with travel paid and flights and hotels available for blocked time off. Flexibility, adaptability, excellent communication skills, a team-player attitude, and the ability to travel are essential. TeamHealth will obtain additional state licenses and DEAs for designated states if needed.

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible in ABEM or AOBEM.
Emergency medicine residency training.
Excellent communication skills.
Team-player attitude and adaptability.
Flexibility and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Provide quality patient care in an assigned emergency department.
Work blocked shifts at selected emergency department sites within the assigned region.
Travel between client sites as required.
Collaborate as a team player and adapt to the needs of the facilities and patients.
