About The Position

Serve as a Special Operations Assault Zone Controller, in support of the 27th Special Operations Wing (27 SOW) at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Personnel should have previous qualifications/experience as Combat Controllers, Landing Zone Controllers, Landing Zone Safety Officers, Drop Zone Controllers, or USAF ATC Controllers. Further defined as former Aircrew/Spec Ops/USAF ATC Controllers/AMLO type personnel that have previously been qualified LZC/LZSO/DZCO/DZSO. Personnel should possess or be able to pass a flying class II physical for LZC duties, but not required for LZSO, DZSO or DZC duties. CONUS/OCONUS travel as required. No relocation assistance is provided for this position.

Requirements

• Previous qualifications/experience as Combat Controllers, Landing Zone Controllers, Landing Zone Safety Officers, Drop Zone Controllers, or USAF ATC Controllers.
• Former Aircrew/Spec Ops/USAF ATC Controllers/AMLO type personnel that have previously been qualified LZC/LZSO/DZCO/DZSO.
• Possess or be able to pass a flying class II physical for LZC duties (not required for LZSO, DZSO or DZC duties).
• Secret clearance is required. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal.
