Special Needs Aide/PreSchool Support Staff
About The Position
Ascend's Little Miracle Program seeks a Part Time Preschool Assistant to support our 'Little Miracles' Community Program in Antioch for children with developmental, learning, sensory processing, and language and communication disorders. We seek a dedicated and passionate part time Aide who can work as a team to help create a fun environment and incorporate educational activities that assist our children's development. This is a fantastic opportunity if you love working with children and helping your community. Join our team of dedicated teaching and support staff. Part Time - 20-24 hours a week.
Requirements
- 1-year minimum working with children ages 0-5 years old
- CPR
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Special education: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with special needs children
- Bilingual preferred (but not required)
- A minimum of 6 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units are preferred but can also be enrolled or is after starting enrolled.
Responsibilities
- Help create a fun environment
- Incorporate educational activities that assist children's development
- Comfortable with diaper changing
- Assisting staff in cleaning up for the kiddos
