About The Position

Kleinfelder's Construction Materials Engineering and Testing team is seeking multi-certified ICC Special Inspectors/CWI to join their Southern California team in Los Angeles, CA. This role is part of a market that helps develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain, recognized as an industry leader with over 25 accredited laboratories. The position involves performing routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The inspector will also be responsible for preparing daily reports and data sheets and may be assigned various tasks by their supervisor. Requirements

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector
  • ICC Certifications
  • Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to use a computer and have a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and photo management software
  • Ability to learn and grow with technological demands pertaining to daily field reports and field data
  • Must have own vehicle
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Documented receipt of a Covid vaccine
  • Current flu shot
  • Ability to pass a background check and/or Live Scan fingerprinting based on specific project requirements
  • Willingness to travel throughout Southern California
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) certifications (Concrete, DIA, Welding, Fireproofing)
  • Firestop certification
  • Los Angeles County certification
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I

Responsibilities
