About The Position

The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies (SCS) offers an extensive roster of over 850 courses, over 40 program areas, and more than 125 certificates across a broad range of fields that help learners succeed in their careers, satisfy their curiosities, fulfill their passions, and live their best lives. Courses are delivered by our team of 800 + instructors, all of whom are industry or subject matter experts who are passionate about teaching and learning. Complementing our academic offerings are our English Language Program and Comparative Education Service for learners seeking to have international credentials assessed in Canada. Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean, International and Specialized Programs, the Special Groups and Customized Programs Coordinator supports the delivery of specialized and customized English language programs for international and local participants. Working closely with the Assistant Dean, affiliates, and the Academic Director, the Coordinator prepares and administers contracts and agreements ensuring compliance with University standards and guidelines. The role is responsible for supporting program operations, monitoring expenditures, reviewing invoices for accuracy, maintaining program records, and providing presentations and information sessions to support program promotion and engagement. The Coordinator also serves as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders and contributing to the effective delivery of programs and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience developing and maintaining effective relationships with international affiliates such as: educational institutions, agents, sponsors; preparing programming contracts using established templates; ensuring contracts and agreements comply with organizational policies, standards, and guidelines; and analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on agent affiliate performance.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience planning and implementing educational, curricular, co-curricular, or other learner-focused programs and activities; delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities, and initiatives; monitoring accounts, budgets, and expenditures for projects and programs and experience reviewing and verifying invoices and related financial documentation for accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and meet competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with international learners, affiliates, and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in the administration of contracts, financial records, and invoices.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to monitor performance, evaluate information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment within established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the successful delivery of programs and services
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and program-related documentation.
