About The Position

Step Up to the Plate as a Special Events Team Member! At Home Run Inn, we believe pizza should do more than fill you up—it should lift you up. For generations, we've been bringing people together over authentic Chicago tavern-style pizza. From festivals and food trucks to private parties and special celebrations, our Special Events team helps bring the Home Run Inn experience wherever the fun takes us. If you're friendly, energetic, dependable, and enjoy creating great experiences for guests, we'd love to have you on our team. As a Special Events Team Member, you'll help bring Home Run Inn to life at events throughout the community. You'll serve guests, prepare and serve our food, operate registers, and help make sure every event runs smoothly from setup to breakdown. You'll represent the Home Run Inn brand while working alongside a team that takes pride in great food, great service, and making every guest feel welcome. No two events are exactly the same—and that's part of the fun!

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old
Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 5 hours
Ability to frequently lift, reach, bend, and squat
Working knowledge of the predominant language of our guests
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Food Handler Certification required within 30 days of hire
Safety shoes required within 30 days of hire
Enjoy working with people and creating great guest experiences
Bring a positive, energetic attitude to work
Are dependable and willing to jump in wherever needed
Work well as part of a team
Can stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment
Take pride in serving quality food
Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and teammates
Aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get the job done

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, welcoming service to guests
Take orders and operate the register
Answer guest questions and help create a positive experience
Represent Home Run Inn with pride at every event
Prepare and portion food according to Home Run Inn standards
Maintain high food quality and presentation standards
Keep food properly stocked and ready to serve
Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements
Help set up event spaces, food stations, equipment, and supplies
Support catering events, food truck operations, festival concessions, and private events
Help break down and clean up event spaces and equipment
Keep work areas clean, organized, stocked, and food-safe throughout each event
Follow all workplace health and safety requirements
Practice safe food handling and preparation
Help maintain a safe environment for teammates and guests
Speak up and reinforce safe behaviors across the team
Jump in wherever help is needed
Work effectively with teammates in a fast-paced environment
Stay flexible as event needs and priorities change
Perform other related duties as assigned
