Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in event coordination and management.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, donors, volunteers, and diverse audiences.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, with the ability to prioritize tasks, set objectives, and achieve goals.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Comfortable engaging with individuals at all levels, including major donors, in a professional, friendly, and inclusive manner.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Committed to supporting and advancing PPRM's mission and values.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, MobileCause, and donor databases, including Raiser's Edge, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet fiscal year event goals, including money raised, for PPRM across the affiliate.
  • Assist in development and implementation of regional event plan to achieve short- and long-term development goals.
  • Develop and implement annual and long-term strategies for special events including stewardship events and revenue generating events to diversify PPRM’s donor base and identify annual and major donors.
  • Partner with volunteer and other PPRM departments to recruit, coordinate, and oversee volunteers for events; act as liaison between committee volunteers and other staff.
  • Identify, solicit, and coordinate event speakers, sponsors, and supporters.
  • Work with internal/external partners on production of event materials, including but not limited to, venue, catering, entertainment, print and online materials, invitations, programs, and various event collateral.
  • Obtain, evaluate, make recommendations and process vendor proposals as appropriate and using an eye toward equity.
  • Lead or assist on-site management of event logistics including security, contractors, vendors, et al.
  • Utilize donor database to track event attendance, create lists, and execute follow up plans.
  • Coordinate with PPRM marketing and communications staff for all event social media presence, keeping information up to date in order to encourage event attendance.
  • Conduct evaluation and analysis processes to measure the success and efficacy of both fundraising and stewardship events.
  • Grow and build on existing events and identify new event opportunities.
  • Manage the Supporter-Hosted-Event program and accompanying resources.
  • Advocate for technology solutions as appropriate and keep abreast of emerging technologies.
  • Work with Development team members to create and adhere to event strategy and annual budget.
  • Support the Manager of Special Events & Stewardship, Director of Donor Relations and Operations, and other Development teammates to achieve desired fundraising goals.
  • Supports agency-wide objectives through but not limited to visibility at internal and external events, and by participating on task forces, committees, and engagement with external partners.
