About The Position
The Special Events Coordinator - Freelance represents News 12 at local key community events of all different sizes throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. This role serves as an organized, detail-oriented liaison for our news organization and the communities we serve. Represents News 12 with the utmost professionalism and provides a positive experience to our viewers.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Outgoing/friendly personality
- Clean/neat appearance
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing within the state of current residence
- Ability to take photos /videos with phone
- Availability on weekends and nights
- Willing to travel within the tri-state area
- Ability to communicate effectively with superior relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Social media skills a plus
- Knowledge of News 12 talent and programming a plus
Responsibilities
- Sets up booths at various events.
- Willing to travel within the tri-state area.
- Responsible for the positive engagement with our viewers during community events.
- Sets up table and hands out giveaway items.
- Takes photos at events for use on social media.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends.
