About The Position

The Special Events Catering and Events Lead plans and executes departmental events for PCC and its affiliates. The Catering and Event Lead maintains detailed event records, trains, and develops employees to ensure excellent banquets and departmental (PCC Departments are the clients) events.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and Execute Departmental Events: Use NetMenu to plan and execute approved departmental events. Ensure the highest quality of finished products and services is provided to the client. Provide detailed and calculated production plans for each event. Order and personally verify all products for the events assigned. Quickly and completely communicate any issues, with solutions, to the Special Events General Manager. Works on and oversees the events as assigned to ensure the highest quality of event is delivered to the client.
  • Maintain Detailed Events Records: Provide timely and detailed records of events executed to aid in the improvement of future events. Records should include a timeline of the planning and execution of the event, menu, pictures of the final plated menu, products ordered, issues that were overcome, staffing needs, facility needs, departmental needs from other departments, employee performance, pictures showing important details such as table setting, room layout, decorations used, and any other important details. Ensure proper stewardship of all products and labor used in the events that you oversee.
  • Develop Employees: Ensure that all employees working at your events follow all special events policies and procedures, proper food preparation methods and techniques to meet or exceed industry safety and sanitation standards. Provide in-the-moment training for employees and catering team members to help each employee grow. Keeps event production on time and on budget.
  • Initiate Improvements: Be an advocate for PCC and Special Events Catering. Continually assess and improve products and services with the goal of keeping or adding new catering business. Stay current on culinary trends, preparation methods, and equipment innovations to improve the events you plan and execute.
