About The Position
Special Educators at AXIS empower school-aged children using evidence-based strategies to support specialized instruction, individual education plans, and academic success. In a virtual setting, they provide specialized instruction in math and literacy, collaborate with families and educators, and support students through consistent, data-driven services. Their work helps children build independence and resilience regardless of where they are. The role serves Vermont and is 100% remote.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education.
- Vermont PK-12 certification and knowledge of Vermont rules and regulations.
- Experience with case management.
- At least 2 years of experience in a school setting.
- Demonstrates professional integrity and accountability, including ethical behavior, respect for policies, and ownership of responsibilities.
- Works effectively with colleagues and contributes to a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrates adaptability and problem-solving, maintains a growth mindset, responds well to challenges, and can troubleshoot independently.
- Shows cultural sensitivity and manages time and tasks efficiently.
