About The Position

Family of Kidz has brought together highly qualified teams of professionals who work diligently to help children with special needs, from birth to adulthood. Our focus is on establishing a strong understanding of each child’s needs and teaching them skills that lead to greater independence and an enhanced quality of life. This role involves working with students in a Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

Requirements

  • NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 Certification
  • Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families preferred
  • Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work with students who are in a Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  • Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IFSP goals and report progress toward these goals.
  • Collect meaningful information on IFSP goals and generate 6 month reports based on child’s progress toward IFSP goals.
  • Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
  • Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
  • Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Attend IFSP meetings.
