At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Temecula, CA ! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Temecula, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Temecula, CA Schedule: 20 hours, 1- 2 days a week for 1 hour to 1.25 hours per session Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Credentialed special education teacher with experience supporting students with Autism and intellectual disabilities. Comfortable working with nonverbal learners and students functioning at a preschool–kindergarten academic level. Experienced in early literacy, numeracy, foundational math, reading, writing, and social-emotional development. Familiar with AAC devices and able to support expressive and receptive communication using total communication strategies. Skilled in behavior management, sensory supports, and de-escalation strategies for moderate behavioral needs. Bubbly, engaging, calm, and patient, with the ability to maintain structure while remaining flexible. Able to collaborate effectively with ABA therapists and related service providers during in-person sessions.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction in early literacy, numeracy, math, reading, and writing aligned with PreK–K developmental levels.
  • Support social-emotional development through structured routines, modeling, and reinforcement strategies.
  • Incorporate AAC-based communication, visual supports, and hands-on learning activities to promote engagement and understanding.
  • Use sensory regulation tools and planned movement breaks to support focus and emotional regulation.
  • Implement consistent behavior-support strategies in collaboration with the ABA therapist present during sessions.
  • Create a positive, engaging learning environment that integrates student interests such as music and technology.
  • Maintain clear routines while adapting pacing and instruction to the student’s needs and responses.
  • Monitor progress and adjust instruction to support ongoing academic and communication growth.
