About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Corona, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Corona, CA Schedule: 25 hours, 3x a week for 2 hours Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Experienced in working with early elementary students with autism, ADHD, and learning differences. Skilled in teaching foundational literacy, reading comprehension, handwriting, math, and vocabulary development. Patient, calm, and consistent, able to maintain structure while addressing frustration or behavioral challenges. Creative, able to integrate student interests into lessons to encourage engagement. Knowledgeable in SPED strategies, multi-sensory instruction, and reinforcement techniques. Able to provide individualized instruction that builds confidence, independence, and early academic success. Requirements

  • Experienced in working with early elementary students with autism, ADHD, and learning differences.

  • Knowledgeable in SPED strategies, multi-sensory instruction, and reinforcement techniques.
  • Able to provide individualized instruction that builds confidence, independence, and early academic success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide structured instruction in foundational literacy skills , including phonemic awareness, sight words, handwriting, and reading fluency and comprehension.
  • Support foundational math skills , including counting, number sense, and early operations.
  • Reinforce vocabulary development and language skills through repetition and multi-modal strategies.
  • Implement visual supports, manipulatives, and engaging activities to maintain attention and understanding.
  • Use consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and structured breaks to manage mild behaviors and frustration.
  • Incorporate the student’s interests, such as Roblox, music, and singing, to increase motivation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and align tutoring with IEP goals and therapies (Speech, OT, ABA).
  • Conduct an initial assessment to tailor instruction and monitor progress.
