About The Position

At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Moreno Valley, CA ! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Moreno Valley, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Moreno Valley, CA Schedule: 25 hours, 2-3 sessions a week for 3 hours Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Credentialed teacher with strong special education experience. Experienced supporting nonverbal students with Autism and ADHD. Skilled in foundational math (addition, subtraction, number concepts) and early writing skills. Comfortable providing hand-over-hand support and adapting lessons for pen-and-paper tasks. Knowledgeable in ABA strategies; RBT experience preferred. Patient, structured, and able to provide short breaks and hands-on learning to maintain engagement. Able to create individualized lesson plans incorporating motivating activities such as Legos, Play-Doh, and tablet-based rewards. Why Tutor Me Education? Requirements

  • Credentialed teacher with strong special education experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledgeable in ABA strategies; RBT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized instruction in foundational math concepts and writing skills, including name and address writing.
  • Provide hand-over-hand and scaffolded support as needed, gradually increasing independence.
  • Incorporate ABA-informed strategies to manage attention, engagement, and behavior.
  • Implement family-provided materials (tablet) for lessons as needed.
  • Use engaging, hands-on activities and rewards to motivate learning.
  • Monitor progress and adjust instruction to meet the student’s developmental and academic needs.
