About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Moreno Valley, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Moreno Valley, CA Schedule: 18 hours, 2 sessions a week for 2 hours Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: A credentialed teacher or experienced SPED instructor with strong knowledge of PreK–K academic skills. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and experienced in supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners. Skilled in foundational literacy, phonemic awareness, early math concepts, and language development. Comfortable supporting learners with medical complexities in a safe, patient, and structured manner. Able to provide clear, visual, and ASL-based instruction to support communication and engagement. Strong classroom management and ability to implement routines, modeling, and visual supports. Requirements

  • A credentialed teacher or experienced SPED instructor with strong knowledge of PreK–K academic skills.
  • Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and experienced in supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners.
  • Skilled in foundational literacy, phonemic awareness, early math concepts, and language development.
  • Comfortable supporting learners with medical complexities in a safe, patient, and structured manner.
  • Able to provide clear, visual, and ASL-based instruction to support communication and engagement.
  • Strong classroom management and ability to implement routines, modeling, and visual supports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction in foundational literacy and math, aligned with PreK–K developmental levels.
  • Support the student’s ASL communication by expanding vocabulary, improving expressive/receptive ASL skills, and reinforcing classroom language goals.
  • Help the student follow one- and two-step directions using ASL, visual prompts, and structured routines.
  • Use multisensory, hands-on, and visual-based teaching methods to strengthen engagement and comprehension.
  • Collaborate with family and align instruction with IEP goals and strategies used in the DHH classroom.
  • Incorporate functional and social communication opportunities to encourage interaction and independence.
  • Administer an assessment to determine the student’s current academic and communication levels.
  • Maintain a patient, supportive, and encouraging learning environment, sensitive to the student’s medical needs.
