About The Position

At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Inglewood, CA ! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Inglewood, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Inglewood, CA Schedule: 10 hours, tutoring sessions and hours (TBD) Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Experienced tutor with strong knowledge of early literacy, numeracy, and communication strategies. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners. Comfortable working with visually impaired students and adapting materials for accessibility. Skilled in working alongside ABA therapy and implementing structured, patient, and supportive instruction. Strong classroom management and ability to provide visual and tactile supports as needed. Compassionate, adaptable, and able to maintain a motivating, engaging learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experienced tutor with strong knowledge of early literacy, numeracy, and communication strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction in foundational literacy, numeracy, and communication, aligned with the student’s developmental level.
  • Support total communication strategies, incorporating ASL, gestures, visual prompts, and tactile cues.
  • Work alongside ABA therapists to maintain consistency in behavior and learning supports.
  • Use multisensory, hands-on, and visual-based teaching methods to enhance engagement and comprehension.
  • Track progress and report updates to the family and support team.
  • Maintain a patient, encouraging, and structured learning environment tailored to the student’s sensory and learning needs.
