About The Position
Parker Elementary is seeking a Special Education Teacher for grades K-6. The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers. A Bachelor's Degree is the minimum qualification for this position, unless it is a designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) position. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you will have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a Program to continue employment. You must demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements each year. Upon hire, a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (or ability to obtain within 3 years with enrollment in a program)
- Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
