About The Position
We are excited to welcome a passionate Special Education Teacher to our educational team. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing individualized instruction and academic support that empowers students with diverse learning needs to reach their fullest potential. In this role, you will collaborate with educators, administrators, related service providers, and families to develop and implement personalized learning plans that foster student achievement and independence. By utilizing differentiated instructional strategies, monitoring student growth, and maintaining open communication with all stakeholders, you will help cultivate an inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to succeed both academically and personally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom leadership skills.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach 4th and 5th grade students receiving special education services.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and student-centered classroom environment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families.
