About The Position

TES Academy is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher (Intervention Specialist) to join their teaching team serving K–12 students in Fairlawn, Ohio. Requirements

Hold a valid Special Education credential and ODE license (or a General Education license with willingness to obtain IS license).
Are committed to creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with students and families.
Can adapt instruction to meet a wide range of student needs.
Background check clearance (BCI/FBI)
TB test within the last 12 months
Automobile insurance meeting 25/50k liability coverage
Access to mobile phone/email and basic internet if working offsite

Responsibilities

Provide small group and one-on-one instruction to students needing extra support in reading, writing, math, and other skill areas.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning style.
Partner with families, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure consistent communication and progress tracking.
Maintain compliance with IDEA and all relevant state and federal regulations.
