About The Position
Otsego Public Schools is seeking a full-time Level 1 Special Education Teacher for Washington Street Elementary. The teacher will instruct students with special needs in core content using approaches such as pull-out intervention groups and push-in support in general education classrooms to address students’ varying needs. The position starts immediately and is open until filled.
Requirements
- Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Level 1 special education.
- Elementary-level teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students with special needs in core content using a variety of techniques, including pull-out intervention groups and push-in support in general education classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers or administrators to develop, evaluate, or revise school programs.
- Plan or schedule lessons with other staff members in accordance with approved curricula.
- Confer with parents, administrators, social workers, and other professionals to develop individual educational plans (IEPs) supporting students’ educational, physical, or social development.
