About The Position
The Special Education Teacher provides special education services to elementary school students in an inclusion environment. The position requires a background working with elementary school students who have learning disabilities. The role is for the 2026–2027 school year at Garland Quarles Elementary School, with a start date in January 2027. The work schedule is full-time, 10 months, 200 days, and 7 hours per day. Salary for the 2026–2027 school year ranges from $54,590 to $85,329, with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree. A fully licensed successful candidate is eligible for a $5,000 signing incentive and a $5,000 VRS-qualified stipend.
Requirements
- Background working with elementary school students who have learning disabilities.
- Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education K-12 General Curriculum or Specific Learning Disabilities K-12, or eligibility for such a license.
