Special Education Teacher
About The Position
Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to serve high school students in Woodsville, New Hampshire, for the 2026–2027 school year. The organization uses a personalized placement process, matching candidates with positions based on their experience, preferred age group, caseload interests, and geographic preferences. Responsibilities vary by placement. The teacher will receive support from a dedicated Service Delivery Manager, ongoing mentorship, and collaboration with experienced SLPs, OTs, PTs, school psychologists, and district teams. Boothby also provides access to resources, tools, best practices, and professional development, with a stated focus on educator well-being and reducing burnout.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid New Hampshire Special Education certification or eligibility for certification.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in school-based special education settings is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving special education services.
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
- Foster inclusive and supportive learning environments.
