About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support the academic and social-emotional growth of middle school students in Phoenix, AZ during the 2026 2027 school year. This role involves providing specialized instruction and academic support to middle school students in a resource classroom setting, focusing on growth in reading, math, and social-emotional skills. The teacher will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including progress monitoring and documentation of student growth. Additionally, the role requires assessing student needs and utilizing data-driven strategies to adapt instruction and support individual learning goals, as well as collaborating with educators, families, and support teams to promote student achievement and social-emotional development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
Active Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Experience assessing student needs, developing and implementing IEPs, and evaluating student outcomes through effective special education practices

Responsibilities
