About The Position

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring Special Education teachers to join our growing High School this year. The role will follow a push-in/ pull-out model. TOH or TOSD Certification required. Your co-cert should be in the subject you are teaching, but K-6 certificates paired with TOSD may be considered. We are seeking the following Special Education Teachers for our High School: High School Mathematics, Special Education; High School ELA/English, Special Education; High School Science, Special Education. Special Education Certified teachers are eligible for a $3,000 bonus! Certified Math teachers are eligible for a $7,500 bonus! Base Salary SY26/27: $70,000- $100,000 Plus several bonus, stipend, and raise opportunities! Hours: 7:15-3:05, Monday-Friday. Requirements

Must hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, Limited CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate in Special Education.
TOH or TOSD Certification required.
Co-certification should be in the subject being taught, but K-6 certificates paired with TOSD may be considered.

Responsibilities

Teach using a push-in/pull-out model.
Plan lessons and solve problems with peers in professional learning communities (PLCs).
Partner with an array of specialists to meet scholars’ diverse needs.
Utilize a research-based curriculum and supporting curricular materials.
Employ high-quality formative assessments, aligned with the curriculum, that help identify when students have not achieved mastery of a skill, concept, or knowledge item.
Work with reading and math specialists to tutor students struggling to master an essential skill.
Collaborate with counselors and social workers who help students struggling with non-academic problems.
