About The Position

Empowerment Academy Charter School is seeking Special Education Teachers to join our growing High School this year. The role will utilize a push-in/pull-out model. We are looking for certified teachers in High School Mathematics, High School ELA/English, and High School Science. Special Education Certified teachers are eligible for a $3,000 bonus, and Certified Math teachers are eligible for a $7,500 bonus. The base salary for the 26/27 school year is $70,000 - $100,000, with additional bonus, stipend, and raise opportunities. Requirements

Hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, Limited CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate in Special Education.
TOH or TOSD Certification required.
Co-certification in the subject being taught is preferred, but K-6 certificates paired with TOSD may be considered.

Responsibilities

Teach Special Education students in High School Mathematics, ELA/English, or Science.
Utilize a push-in/pull-out model for instruction.
Collaborate with school leaders, peers in professional learning communities (PLCs), and specialists to plan lessons and solve problems.
Partner with an array of specialists to meet scholars’ diverse needs.
Utilize high-quality formative assessments to identify student mastery.
Work with reading and math specialists, counselors, and social workers to support students.
