About The Position

We are looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher who wants to focus on what truly matters: supporting students, building relationships, and making a meaningful impact in the classroom. Teachers in this role receive dedicated paraprofessional classroom support and do not carry IEP case management responsibilities, allowing you to focus on instruction, student engagement, and classroom success. Requirements

Arizona Department of Education Standard Professional Special Education Teaching Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree
Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
Experience working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs
Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
Passion for creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
Deliver individualized instruction aligned to student learning needs and state standards
Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Implement positive behavior strategies and classroom supports using PBIS principles
Track student progress and communicate with families and school teams
Adapt curriculum and classroom activities to support diverse learning styles
Foster confidence, independence, and emotional growth in students
Partner with related service providers and school staff to create meaningful student outcomes
